Evergreen Custodian Honored with Community Life Saving Award

Congratulations are in order for Evergreen Middle School custodian Holt Burnett! On December 10, 2024, a student in the lunchroom began visibly choking. Holt sprung into action and performed abdominal thrusts to dislodge the blockage, effectively saving the student’s life. He was honored for his quick thinking and brave response with a Community Life Saving Award by the Hillsboro Police Youth Services Unit on Wednesday, June 11.
